I love to teach because I love to learn
I've taught 5 year olds to 85 year olds how to use a camera
Story Driven Learning
These days, kids know how to take a photo on an iPhone before they can say a full sentence. We all constantly have access to a camera in our pocket and most of us take a snap daily. I teach people how to tell a story with that picture or video using technical and story telling techniques.
I've taught in Australia, the United Kingdom and The United Arab Emirates. I've taught at festivals, after school and holiday workshops, I've taught retired volunteers and the hardest of all, middle schoolers. From how to hold a camera to using composition to work for different genres, I can teach to any level.

Documentary
I worked with a group of young people at the Onkaparinga community centre, Studio 20. We spent 10 weeks learning different filming and story telling techniques. We then decided to enter the Fleurieu Film Festival with a documentary about climate change. This film explores how our community is responding to the adaptation of climate change with the inclusion of inspiring environmental champions within our Community.
The film won 'Best Documentary' at the 2019 festival.

Short Film
This short film was created by a small group of students during a 4 hour Filmmaking Workshop in Lameroo. Participants were introduced to camera angles, shot types, storyboarding, narrative techniques, basic camera use, and editing tools before heading out to create their own short film. The students had use of this brilliant, old theatre space and were inspired by it's creepy and abandonned vibes.
This film was part of a week long school holiday program that I delivered across multiple towns in the Riverland of South Australia.
